DAY 01: ARRIVE BAKU, AZERBAIJAN
On arrival, meet and great by a local representative and transfer for lunch. Thereafter, visit the Icheri Sheher the old part of the city including the UNESCO World Heritage listed Shirvan Shaks Palace, Maiden’s Tower, Medieval Fortress and Market Square. Continue to see the Heydar Aliyev Center (panoramic view / no entrance). Dinner and check in hotel.
DAY 02: BAKU
After breakfast, proceed to Gobustan explore the famous rock petroglyphs dating back to 10,000 DC. In 2007 was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue, visit Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape and Mud volcanoes. After lunch, visit The Ancient Zoroastrian Temple. Also called the “Temple of the Fire” is a religious historical castle in the suburb of Surakhani. Visit the Yanar Dag, anancient and visually stunning fire which blazes continuously on a hillside for thousands of years. Free at leisure and check in hotel.
DAY 03: BAKU - SHAMAKHI - SHEKI
After breakfast, make a stop at the Diri Baba Mausoleum. Continue to Shamakha, and have a sightseeing of historical Juma Mosque. Thereafter, make a quick stop at Nohur Lake for great mountain view if the weather & time allows. Driving to Sheki, visit Sheki Medieval fortress, Sheki Khans Palace, built in 1762 by Hussein Khan the interior of the two-storey building is decorated with magnificent frescoes and lit by exquisite stained glass. Thereafter, dinner and check in hotel.
DAY 04: SHEKI – LAGODEKHI BORDER – SIGHNAGHI – TBILISI
This morning, across the Lagodekhi border between Azerbaijan to Georgia and meet with the Georgian guide. The Georgian town of Sighnaghi is located in the eastern part of Kakheti, and is known as the City of Love. Sighnaghi was also one of Georgia’s many stops along the ancient Silk Road. Sighnaghi is just over an hour away from Tbilisi, which makes it a good escape from the busy life of the city. Many day trips and short excursions travel to Sighnaghi. The town sits atop a bluff overlooking the Alazani Valley, which is one of Georgia’s most famous wine-producing regions. As is typical of Georgia, Sighnaghi is endowed with significant historic and cultural heritage sites. Its charming cobblestone streets and alleys, restored original nouveau woodwork, and detailed facades give the town a romantic mystique. Billed the City of Love, Sighnaghi is a popular wedding venue. The wedding chapel here was the first to operate around the clock, and put Sighnaghi on the map as a destination. Its marriage chapel now hosts ceremonies taking place all hours of the day and night. It is also a frequent venue for traditional Georgian dance recitals, music and craft festivals. Overnight in Tbilisi
DAY 05: TBILISI – JVARI – MTSKHETA – TBILISI CITY TOUR
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy breathtaking view from the church that towers over the city of Mtskheta. Continue to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, known as the burial site of Christ's robe and the second largest church building in the country. The Cathedral has long been the principal Georgian church and remains one of the most venerated places of worship to this day. In the afternoon transfer to Tbilisi. Start exploring Tbilisi. Tbilisi city tour starts at Metekhi plateau, from where is perfect panoramic view to the old city – Narikala fortress, Bath district, Meidan, Kala district, Betlemi district – so tourists can have a look at the whole old city, which they will explore in the next few hours. Here is located also statue of king Vakhang Gorgasali – founder of Tbilisi. Cable way, it connects new park Rike with Narikala fortress. Few minutes travel by cable car and enjoy magnificent views of Old Tbilisi. From the top station of cable way are views to the old city and botanical garden Fortress Narikala. Overnight in Tbilisi.
DAY 06: TBILISI - ANANURI - GUDAURI - KAZBEGI - TBILISI
After breakfast at the hotel pick up for the tour to Ananuri-Gudauri-Kazbegi. This is an excursion to one of the most picturesque regions of Georgia – Kazbegi, along famous Georgian military road. During the excursion tourists will view Jinvali water reserve and visit Ananuri fortress, which belongs to XIV-XVII centuries, drive though beautiful Aragvi gorge, via winter ski resort Gudauri, and will cross the Cross path – at altitude 2395 m above the sea level. Enjoying amazing mountain views. Tourists will also taste local mineral water, which contains iron and afterwards arrive to town Stephantsminda, the center of Kazbegi region. This route was used from altar in Ananuri church Kazbegi tourancient times to connect North Caucasus to the central Georgia. Marshrutka minivan drive to the Gergeti trinity church located on altitude 2200 m above the sea level. If you are lucky and weather is clear, you will see mount Kazbegi – 5047 m above the sea level. In the evening return to Tbilisi for overnight.
DAY 07: DEPARTURE TBILISI
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Transfer to airport
